Invisalign clear aligners

The discreet alternative to fixed braces — custom-fit clear trays that gently move teeth into a planned position over a course of months.

Invisalign is the practice's flagship cosmetic treatment and the service Skelton Dental's existing site features most prominently. The course begins with an iTero digital scan — no impression trays, no gag reflex — which produces a precise three-dimensional model of your bite. From there the aligners are made to a planned sequence and you swap them out every couple of weeks. Most patients complete a course in six to eighteen months depending on case complexity. We are happy to consult on whether Invisalign is the right tool for your case before any commitment.

Professional teeth whitening

Tray-based whitening done properly — custom-fit trays made from your scans, professional-grade gel, and clinical supervision through the course.

Whitening is one of the treatments the current Skelton Dental site explicitly highlights — and the one most often done badly by over-the-counter kits and high-street kiosks. We use take-home trays made to your own scans and clinical-grade gel dispensed in the practice. Most patients see a meaningful shift over two to three weeks of nightly use. Whitening is not appropriate for every mouth, and we will say so clearly if it isn't.

General dentistry & check-ups

Routine examinations, hygienist visits, fillings and the steady long-term care that keeps small problems small.

The bulk of what Skelton Dental does day in and day out: six-monthly examinations, hygienist appointments, white fillings, simple extractions and the slow steady work of keeping a mouth healthy through life. We do not sell treatment plans you do not need. Where a tooth is borderline, we will watch it. Where a filling is small, we keep it small.

Dental implants

A long-term solution for missing teeth — a titanium root, a porcelain crown, planned in three dimensions from your digital scan.

Implants are a service the existing site names alongside Invisalign and root canals. The treatment replaces a missing tooth root with a titanium fixture, onto which a custom porcelain crown is fitted once the implant has integrated. Cases are planned three-dimensionally from your iTero scan and any required radiographs. Single-tooth, multi-tooth, and full-arch options all available — we will be straight with you about which fits your case and what the realistic timeline looks like.

Porcelain veneers

Thin, custom-made facings bonded to the front of teeth — for staining, chips, or a noticeable shift in shape and proportion.

Veneers are listed under cosmetic dentistry on the current Skelton Dental site. Each veneer is custom-milled to match the rest of your smile in shape and shade, then bonded to a minimally prepared tooth surface. Veneers are not the right answer in every case — sometimes whitening or orthodontics gets you most of the way at less cost. We will tell you which is which.

Root canal treatment

Save a tooth that would otherwise need extraction. A modern root canal — done carefully, with magnification — is comfortable and predictable.

Root canal therapy preserves a tooth whose nerve has been compromised by decay or trauma. We see no reason for it to be the feared procedure it once was — done with proper anaesthetic, rotary instrumentation and careful sealing, it is a routine appointment. The existing Skelton Dental site lists root canals among the practice's core treatments.
